Many broadcasters who hold media rights could face significant losses if this match does not take place, as it is considered the biggest clash of any event. Due to Pakistan’s refusal, media rights companies may suffer heavy financial losses.
The ICC’s official stance on this decision is expected to be announced after some time, clarifying how it will respond to this situation.
