IPL 2026 Schedule Update – Schedule is Currently on Hold
The BCCI is waiting for the Election Commission of India before announcing the complete schedule of IPL 2026.
This is because the Election Commission of India has to finalize the election dates in some states, due to which the full and complete match fixtures of IPL 2026 have not yet been announced.
According to a source, it is being heard that the First match of IPL will be played on 26 March, and 84 matches will be played among 10 franchises in this season.
The IPL auction has already taken place in 16th December in Abu Dhabi, and since then, discussions and analysis around the squads have been ongoing. However, the complete and official match schedule of IPL 2026 has still not been announced by the BCCI.
