IPL 2026: BIG BLOW FOR CSK Due to ₹14.20 Crore Player Got Injured
Prashant Veer, who was acquired for a huge sum of ₹14.20 crore in the auction, has been ruled out of Chennai Super Kings due to injury.
This development has come as a major shock for IPL franchises, as the most expensive uncapped player is now set to miss out after sustaining an injury.
At the moment, no replacement player has been named on the reserve list and Mini Auction is done. However, after Prashant Veer’s exclusion, Chennai Super Kings will now assess other player options for CSK 2026 Squad.
Medical scans have confirmed a shoulder injury, which may take a considerable amount of time to recover fully. With around 60 days still remaining before the start of IPL 2026, there is a possibility that he could regain fitness and be available for the Chennai Super Kings for some matches.
